Harvest has offically began!

First it was bushels of crisp peas off the vine. If I tunnel under my potato plants there are potatoes with super thin skin all ready for the pot. Lettuce is ready for salads and burgers! Life in the garden is a yummy one! ~ just avoid the bugs! It is harvest time!

Today the combines rolled in the lane! That beautiful mass of wheat waving in the breeze heads heavy with kernels is being gathered in! Straw shooting out the back and laying still til the baler comes along to wrap it up into nice round bales to be stored in the coverall for winter beds for the beef cattle! Life is a buzz and roaring in the country today as all the neighbours are hard at it as well! It is harvest time!

Taregan is about not eating in his excitement to get along in the buddy seat of the combine for the harvest! Life for him is complete today! Good thing that he has some patient uncles that endure his many questions and tag along. It is harvest time!

Oh yes, we do not forget the puppies, even on crazy days like today. They are busy getting dirty faces as they learn to eat “real” food, puppy kibble. They are also working on the leap and jump, it is really cute to watch!! Visit sometime in the summer/fall as the whole community is changing it’s look!
